Profile

Welcome to the Ontario College of Homeopathic Medicine (OCHM). We are proud to be offering the most comprehensive and extensive homeopathic education available in Ontario since 2001.

Homeopathy has been used successfully worldwide for over 200 years and is recognised as the second most widely used form of medicine in the world today.

Homeopathy is the fastest growing form of medicine and has achieved acclaim as it is able to treat patients on an individual basis. Homeopathy is a holistic medicine that is non-invasive, gentle, quick, safe and effective. It can be used to treat any health concern; chronic as well as acute conditions.

OCHM is the only not-for-profit Homeopathic College that has an approved program recognized by the College of Homeopaths of Ontario. Our standards and our curriculum exceed those competencies outlined by the regulation in Ontario. As a graduate of OCHM you will be able to treat patients successfully and with great confidence! Our world class curriculum and student clinic provide both in class learning and hands on practice. OCHM’s curriculum is firmly rooted in the teachings of Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, the founder of Homeopathy, while also exploring modern day homeopathic ideas. In our teaching clinic, you will have the opportunity to put all that you have learned in the classroom into practice under the guidance of highly experienced, licensed Homeopaths.

Our Medical and Health Science courses are taught in class, by PhDs and Medical doctors. We believe that interacting with teachers who are experts in their field is invaluable to the student’s learning outcome.

Areas of Expertise

The Ontario College of Homeopathic Medicine’s teaching clinic is a key component in the homeopathic training our students receive, This is an intensive training program in the College's fully supervised Teaching Clinic. This unique and rigorous clinical internship has been in operation for over 17 years and has served to effectively transition student practitioners into competent classically trained, compassionate Homeopaths. We feel strongly that a complete Homeopathic education requires live patient care. A student cannot achieve the same level of mastery and bedside manner by watching someone else practice. We have developed our clinical training with that in mind and continue to increase our standards thereby graduating Homeopaths of Distinction.

Our students graduate with real experience having treated and seen more patients and have more clinical training hours than are required by our regulatory body. All of our students are trained under the guidance and supervision of very seasoned registered Homeopaths and are able to help our community at a reasonable price, making homeopathy accessible to everyone.

As an added benefit, our thriving teaching clinic offers students a successful start to their Homeopathic careers. Our students have the opportunity to retain all of the patients they see during their clinical internship. Our students may also choose to begin their professional practice in the OCHM clinic upon becoming licensed.
